3 great experiences in Galway today.

Firstly thanks to the lad at MBW in Moycullen for printing me a map and tips on the Roscahill course, enjoying the course more and more each time I ride it

Secondly, big thanks to "Cannondale" Anthony (with the French accent) for slowing down on his training ride and showing me around the less obvious sections of the track, its really cool when somebody takes the time to show you around despite being obviously out on a fast training spin

Third, I made friends with my hardtail again, it's been years and we didn't trust each other at first, but all it took was one lap and the old friends were having a blast on the second lap.

Suddenly my weekly trips to Galway seem a little more promising, now to find the other track I've been told about

Rosschaill is lovely when its dry, loads of different routes.
It was defiantly Anthony Testa that you met, sound guy and a beast on the bike.

Which other track are you looking for?
There is one beside the MBW shop but the loop is quite small but it is fun,

Yeah was a sound guy indeed. Both he and a patient of mine mentioned another track about 40min from Galway clan something I think. Mbw gave me a link to a website so I'll look it up.

There's an XC trail in Clarinbridge also, fairly short loop, but accessible, great if time is tight. I'm sure the Galway guys can give you details, if not I can put you in touch with a fella.

There was a nice trail at Kylebrack near Loughrea also here. One man pretty much built it singlehandedly - It was about 12km including fireroads but Coillte made sh*t of it in the last few months. The best section is pretty much gone now.

Thanks guys, Clarinbridge is the one I was told about sounds like it anyway, gonna be in Galway often over the next few months so I'll try check out a few of them, so far derroura if it's wet roscahill if it's dry

The trail for clarinbridge is on the left as your going through the town,
Its past the church and there is a narrow entrance into a place called the brothers of charity.
Its a long drive down with a couple of ramps. There is parking in a kind of grotto place on the left as you go down.
The start of the loop is across from this grotto and down a bit from the road you drove in.

You will need to a left straight away when you come onto the trail head, this should let you do a full loop.

Clarinbridge has about 11km of singletrack now. Pretty flat but some nice technical stuff. I'm in there a couple of times a week and might be able to show you round if times suit and you fancy it. PM me if interested.
