trail fiddlers

why do trail fiddlers fiddle with trails ?? can anyone offer some insight into the mentality and motivation of these people ?? and specifically the ones who unblock sh1t shortcuts around minor features on trails surely their time would be better spent backing up a bit and trying to ride the trail again??

They are a scurge inddeed. They normally ride Cube "full-suss'rs" with full body armour and no helmets...

i had to think about that for a minute - ya baldy bollix we are not discussing professional losers we are talking about fiddlers !!

Some loser had a go at me on here before for giving out about the gob****es on the Leadmines taking shortcuts..he claimed that he chose his own lines and it was also his choice not to accept the challenges other people had placed for themselves..some waffle or other about
not being a sheep..
And he was going to actively make shortcuts around the features..needless to say he was severely criticised and was never seen or heard from again.

that would be avery reasonable argument if he only rode trails he dug out himself

of course but he didn't he liked the idea of letting people like me, yourself, Robin and Fergal build trails so that he could ride and alter then to suit himself .
My hypothesis correllates with Mr Ozs, its the people who bought bikes online and decided to become MTBers and then time themselves..believing that the fastest time between the start and finish of a trail was the goal..not the experience to be had in the middle..
