DANGER: Ballinastoe

The second and last wooden bridge on the Coillte trail has a partially collapsed section just at the change in angle so is in a pretty nasty state not to mention being as slippy as hell with the rain.

The story is that one of our group took a wipeout on the slippy wood and as I walked over to help I lost my footing and landed on my ass which went through the section of boards. :(

Anyways take extreme care going into that section.

It would be better to be reporting that to Coillte or maybe fixing it yourself. It is only some wood and a couple of nails at the end of the day. Most of the folk who use that place aren't on here. Maybe even contact Nial davis biking.ie as he brings paying customers up there.

just shows walking can be bad for your health
