Dromara XC race

well as expected the Dromara XC race last Saturday was brutal... I definitely think that XC is course is the hardest by far, super steep climbs and super steep descents means no restbite. i was pollaxed after the first lap and seriously contemplated DNF'ing as I going like a bag of ****e but perseveered to finish the race. Myself, Daniel and Niall were the only EPIC riders there (only southern riders apart from Richie Felle). Niall did well getting 4th only missing the podium by seconds, I was 10th but Daniel had ride of the day getting 3rd on the podium for U16, well done Daniel. the event was well organised with everything running smoothly with a bar-b-q after.

Well done for supporting Martin's race, hard luck Niall... And well done to young Dan!

Would have liked to go up myself only for this flu/bug bite poisoning!

Brutal is not the word!

I think the trend towards flatter XCO courses has made us all soft!

It only had a little more elevation per lap (according to my strava) than Davagh, but that elevation was crammed into a much shorter course meaning the opportunity for recovery was short lived!

Plus then Martin said we had to do 5 laps, and my heart sank...

But you are right, more of this please!
