What can I say..I am the Champ, another one for Epicmtb. thats 5 National Champs in EPIC this year..Smithers got a deadly 2nd Place in his age Cat !! and Damo got 3rd behind him..we all had a great day out between ourselves and EPICdh we dominated once again !! Sweet !!
Greg won the Elites with a superstar time..
I doubt anybody in the world could beat him today ...amazing result..
Meave destroyed everybody , including me to win the ladies but I beat Kyle so I'm happy

ah we missed you today...were your ears burning , we were having the craic wondering how you would find the gnarly bits..well done to Steve Pollock, Mark Pollock, Shona,Jack, Max,Andy too for their efforts..a big thanks to Aine and Conor from MAD, Donna and Derek from MAD and all the MADsers that cheered me on, what a great bunch of guys and girls, having the craic again with Sean and Bruce, Bren and Cummins from EPICdh too , what more can a man ask for !! and fair play to Dave me cousin..some amount of mechanicals..
Great results from Richie, Smiths and Damo, can't say how much I enjoyed today. Went around with Orla, had a total nightmare on the first section, with my quick release coming open twice. Apart from that managed to keep within a good window of Orla.
Totally under estimated the quality of the ladies at this event. Was great to see such high quality riders
I had a great time I can't wait for next year it's such a great format for racing having the crack whit your m8s on the climbs and then a blast going down ! Sorry I didn't wait around to see Richie get trophie but I was wrecked brought a tent and had a bad nights sleep !! Well done Smithers and Damo and Richie was having the crack whit everybody up there super day on the bike!!
Congrats Richie.... you dominated your cat all year, well deserved national title ! Great results for Smithers and Damo too ! felt bad for Smithers because right till the end it looked like he won his cat with Damo in second spot... But I know Smithers was very pleased with his result ! Jeez I was plagued with a drivetrain issue again..My Only clean stages were 5 and 6, still had a great day though ! The girls had a great race too

Brilliant day out, great buzz and a brilliant course and race format. Smithers is on fire and of course the man who invented mountain biking is now national champ, well done to all who raced today
I'm The Champ !! I can't tell you how delighted I am..I have wanted to retire from racing for ages..i think Racing at 50 is stupid..we should be spending all our time encouraging kids in to the sport and here we are thinking we are deadly beating other eejits ..WTF..I have won the XC nationals as a MAster plus the XC NPS, I was the very first DH Masters Champs too..and I won Vets too..I'm winning Supervets..its time to cop on and spend my time finding an Irish Superstar from kids..
the state of this house with trophies..I am ashamed of myself for not seeing an Irish MTBer at the Olympics in London.
