Can I ask anyone who did the cooley thriller (aka death march) what they had for breakfast and dinner previous night?
I'm trying to understand my wrecked state today whilst everyone else was flying..

I had a steak and half a bottle of white last night and a bowl of porridge this morning - perhaps not enough carbo loading !
I was'nt flying today, however,I have'nt had a beer in the last 8 days!Had steak out of the microwave last night, and cornflakes for breakfast this morning!
I never ran out of fuel..Porridge at 7.00 Banana at 8.30 USN EPIC Pro at 9.00 ..1 gel at the mast, i packet of pastiles mini size at Lumpers ...that was my lot. Felt fine..feel tired today though but that might have something to do with the 36k I did this morning on my Zesty !!
Can't remember what I had the night before but it'll have been my usual plate of meat and veggies, I do remember that there was a load of sweet potato and squash though.

Race morning I had eggs, veg and avocado. Brought a couple of coconut bars and 3 bananas for during the race. I've never bothered with gels but I will for sure next year. Ate a savage amount at the second feed station as I knew I just didn't have enough in me. It was nice to throw paleo our the window and horse as much fruit bread, coke and chocolate into me as I could manage. The farts the coke brought on in the last 6 miles were a farce, about the only thing that made me smile all day!
