Spesh Stumpjumper FSR sizing query

I have a guy in work looking at one of these in medium. He's 5' 11" and worried it might be too small? I would think he'll be ok but anyone here comment on relative size of Spesh bikes?

I'm 6'2" and large Specialized bikes fit me fine, so he should be grand with a medium. Can't he just try it out?

He's looking to buy up north but I've pointed him in the direction of cycleways for test drive. He's also looking at a Canyon AM but the geometry is very different as is the sizing.

I'm 5'11" and have just bought a "Large" Stumpjumper. My current "Epic" is a "Medium"!. According to the guys in Cycleways 5'11" is right on the "borderline" and it comes down to personal preference!

im 5 11 and ride a large enduro. I have a medium stumpy hard tail and it is a tad too small. I have ridden both the stumpy fsr and the regular fsr and both are way too small for me.

i'm 6' on the nose and have a large 07 stumpy fsr. my mate is 5'8ish and has a medium - i would consider it too small for me. 5'11 may be just on the upper limit for medium - best to sit on one

This thread is very confusing what with all the references to height and ***** size. Clive if he's worried that it is too small they say girth is more important. How wide is the Spesh?
