i know Sé O Hanlon for years..as a mountaineer..I never knew he was a cyclist till I turned up at my first FIC ( federation of Irish Cyclists ) AGM and he was giving out yards to them ..I never knew why he was always slagging me about mountainbiking..the old bollix ! Some legend , I never knew he won the RAS either , I'll have to give him socks about that. The state of Richie McAuley in the retro gear as well and Denis Brennan racing Stephen Roche..great documentary
there was a book about the ras a few years ago well worth a read
