well i was correct in my prediction that Alfie Wallace might pull it out of the bag..indeed he did. What a year for my number 1 son, Masters Champ, Club Champ..a true legend, reports tell me that he was on Robin Seymour like a rash till the last stretch. Doris came in second with an Outstanding ride to 3rd place by Oscar Mac Ananey. In the Future Superstar/Hasbeen Category, Paddy Michal rode to a storming 1st place with everybodies favourite Photographer Terry Mc Donagh in 2nd, I got 3rd, which I am delighted with, its feckin years since I got a feckin trophy in XC ! the Course was actually superb, short, snappy, dry and 100% rideable ..I'm so good but I don't understand why Cycling Ireland are not on their knees right now begging me to save XC racing after all in the words of Proffessor Bruce Murphy at the University of the Whammy, only I could make XC something worth killing yourself for !
