that was probably 1988 or so..possibly even earlier.
I was living in a flat in Dun laoghaire.
I typed the blurb and Shane did the drawing. He used to do the Christmas Window paintings all over Dun laoghaire.
he even did a comic strip for a short story I wrote.
Man we were so Bohemian !!

The bike in the picture has no suspension, v brakes and an intergrated stem, and not the good kind, in what way does a "real" mountain bike of the late 80's/early ninties differ from a non mountain bike? Apart from tyres.

Tommy, you are talking crap there..V-Brakes were still a good few years away. And if you had seen the yokes people turned up on.
It could have been 90..I'm nearly sure i joined MAD in 91..but fcuk it, who cares..its a genuine piece of MTB history.

Deadly... just deadly... I remember that poster well... I had no idea there were other's (mtb'ers) out there... I think the first time I saw it was in Dave English's Bikerack... brings back many oldskool memories of biking with an eclectic rag tag bunch of loonies led by none other than Rickety Byrne..
