Do these batteries have memory issues and need to be discharged fully occasionally or just topped up as need be?
I have them on a set of light and motion arcs and they have never run out so not sure if I should run them down occasionally to conserve the life of the battery.

my battery used to have memory issues so I glued a 2GB USB stick onto it and it's been fine ever since
on the other hand, their site doesn't mention anything about memory issues
I think the smart charger looks after the battery fairly ok:
Our Multi-Chemistry Smart Charger quickly charges your Light & Motion battery and ensures optimal battery life by not overcharging the cells. Charging is monitored by measuring the change in temperature over the change in time (dT/dt). This is sometimes referred to as the Delta-Temperature method. Since the charging voltage is nearly constant when the battery is charging from a depleted state, most of this power will be converted to chemical energy. However, when the battery is fully charged, most of the charging power will then be converted to heat. This results in an increase in the rate of change of temperature, which can be detected by an electronic sensor on the battery. This signal is monitored by the battery charger, which then stops the charging current. The dT/dt or Delta-Temperature charging method is recommended by most battery manufacturers.
if they haven't been used in a while as in over the summer they can have a few run time issues but usually after 3 or 4 full charges/ discharges they come back to life
NiCad batteries are by far the worst for memory issues - avoid them.
NiMH batteries are almost never affected by memory loss and can be refreshed by discharging / charging a few times.
Li-Ion batteries are NEVER affected by memory loss
Buy a good intelligent charger as it will automatically detect what kind of battery it is, charge, discharge and refresh dead ones.
NiMH batteries should never be charged in a NiCad charger.
You should never let your or NiCad or NiMH batteries fully discharge to zero as it may permanently damage them.
When storing your batteries in the off season it is recommended to put the batteries through a charge cycle approx once every two months.
Never store your batteries dead for long periods of time as it will prove difficult to refresh them.

I have a Lupine light..for a while it worked great apart from the stupid freakin setup chip thing..
The light on full power was deadly..
however it now only lasts about an hour on full max power whereas it used to do 2 hours..its a fancy NIMH battery..
I may stop shouting at it and start biting the bulb out of it..the battery is a nice size which is a pity..
I have it on 3 settings now ( purely by chance)..dim ( does a couple of hours but only good on the road) . not so dim ( does about and hour and a half and is ok) . and Nuclear ( melts rabbits and lasts maybe an hour)..could this be a battery issue problem or just the dumbass chip thing it comes with and my poor counting technique, you have to press the fcuking thing 5 times this way ,ten times that way press it 5 times then another five times to set the shagging thing up.I amazed I haven't driven over it in the landrover....
I just want to turn it on and light my way.. the light and motion Li-ion HID yoke i have is briiliant except the battery is a bad shape and size. ok in a camelback but bad in a pocket.
The best lights i've seen are the Dinotte ones the Northsiders and the Arab have..you can use remote control batteries with them..
it also has a fancy smart charger...grrr..you better help me out here Maccer or you're off the Christmas List !!!

No, despite many invitations and offers of lights. I don't have the gear or the time it seems, I have no doubt though that I would enjoy it far too much.
