The dates for 2013 have just been announced, it's going to be the weekend 6th/7th of April.
It's a great event and a beautiful part of Ireland for a weekend away, I highly recommend it!
It's a good transition from the winter road training to xc racing, I'll definitely be going!

I've stayed there 3 times and it's an excellent b&b and 2min cycle to the race HQ, they have shed and hose for washing bikes etc.
I personally think Max is deranged..he went mad for this , this year and now look at him..the National Champs in July are where everybody should be peaking..me, I don't give a bollix. I am riding my bike in every County and I am aiming to win the over 50's Roc D'Azur Triathlon..thats my goals for the year!
I'm going along to this again this year. Buddies of mine organise it. Last year there was a good group of people competing, though not many MTB types, a lot of adventure racing people like you would get at Gaelforce or WAR events. This was a pity because without the numbers supporting these types of races they will fold instead of growing and improving. The lads have only been organising this event for 3 years now and it has grown and they have become 'accepted' by the local community who are becoming more facilitating and now have some exposure to MTB'ing where there was none before. This can only be good for the sport. So I would encourage everyone that can to put this on their calender for next year and support it. Its a good weekend. While there are predominantly fire road stages there are also some cracking off road sections. There is a great descent on day 2 morning stage which goes on and on and the afternoon stage is essentially the Kilalloe NPS course. So come along and make it a club weekend away. If we get numbers we could even take a house or something down there???

We're still hoping to get a few more clubs to apply to run NPS races Steve but currently we definately have NPSs on April 14th, April 28th and May 26th. The Nationals are on July 21st! We will make an official announcement shortly!
Richard,when you know for sure the NPS date's 100% please post them on the forum,cause I'll be printing them off and handing the list into work,there's no way Im letting work get in the way of the NPS's like this year.Thanks.
I have the boner of shame now..I'm going,sure you'd have no craic without me..and besides I was only having a laugh about the Gravy Enduros..XC is the source man, its the root of all MTB..people can cod themselves all they want that GE is the future and XC and DH are dead..at least with XC and DH the venues and trails change every season..whereas next year we'll just have a repeat of what we go this year..all for €50 a go.
Well with an NPS set for April 14th, there will not be a clash with the Derg Challenge on April 6th/7th. So great chance to get a dose of cycling in a week before the NPS! Maybe the Derg lads will come up with some suggestions for accommodation. Anyone else interested at this stage?
