that was really deadly, the organisers made me feel like a celebrity !! All the EPIC boys and lady were brilliant.
The Course was brilliant, real scary in spots, very tricky, very technical.
Considering the weather we have had lately I thought the course held up grand. I only walked the course, but i know by this stage whats good and whats not good. The lads ( about 4 of them!!) have built a blindingly good course, some of the digging was the most impressive i've ever seen.
I know Natalie won by miles, one of the few riders to clear the log jump where I was and not snot herself off the tree or nearly.

Yeah well done to all the Epic heads that came out to race today conditions werenât ideal but it was a good day had in spite of that. It was a tuff days racing so to even to come along a give it a go was some work, I found it hard myself to get the bike out of the car after I walked the course but very glad I did. Again some good results from epic. Well done to everyone for getting out today great to see epic being so well represented at the downhill races and cheers to all the supports as well great to have all the encouragement. Cheers Adam
you had bad luck on your first run catching lads, but you looked very smoove on your 2nd..however apart from Damo Duggan and the Wolfsters and Colin Ross nobody has mastered the air pedalling !!
its amazing to see all the riders up there having a go.Downhill racing is one of those full on mental and physical sprints where everything is suspended and your world becomes just the track and your bike and the poxy beeps !! Its like a crazy comicbook Martial art where instead of being surrounded and attacked by opponents one by one, they are all coming at you ( the roots,drops,berms ,Jumps,crazy people on the PA) one after the other , all have different styles and weapons, you can't hurt them but they can sure as hell hurt you.
Then a minute and a half later you are down past the beams. The roar of blood in your head and the thump , thump , Thump of your heart in your chest, from holding your breath abates and all the freaking orghasmic moments come back at you and for a brief moment you remember those little victories of a sweet line and the memory of air under the tyres comes back and you trip like a hippy in a maryJane field..oh yeah and always, regardless of what you do, remember your rad set up !!
yeah todays was a good race for lots of people, its great to ride a new track as well done to the race organisers and the course builders.. savage stuff, i cant wait till it beds in its gonna be so fast!.. Cheers El prezo for the PA shinanigans..
Also i'm glad i did'nt kill Ken Murphy on the 3rd drop, i thought i was gonna roll over him on the first run... We played chicken on the left and right line ..... 2 riders in 1 rider out!! sorry dude....

"Richard Rocks 66.6FM" was a fackin' great music station to have tuned in as you were coming down the last section of the track, the classic rock being played was just......ahhhh.....classic
well bloody done those IMBRC trail builders, like little JCBs they are, like big Doozers they are, brilliant track, very tough, nothing easy, kept my poor brain ticking triple time to process all the hips and trips and rutes and chutes
they just kept coming

I didn't drink any whatsover..I had 2 cups of Coffee all day..I was just inspired..it was funny watching people passing me and I was shouting at them " for the love of jesus, pedal, PEDAL !!!!"
