Just before the final turn on the first climb to the masts, on your left over looking some fine houses, i noticed bike tracks along a ridge to the left right beside the tarmacked road which lead into the forest.. Does this lead back to the car park?

no sarcasm its deadly..it just gets a bit vague here and there after the forest bit..which is a very dark foresty bit
The Rock Dropper lives in a cave up there, and is know to shed stones and boulders on the fast bits. Just bear in mind that when you ride the 2nd time, it might not be the same as the 1st time.
