I've gone full Schwalbe, after years of bomb proof Maxxis this is a big deal. The NN on the rear feels like a gamble, very tempted to Hans Dampf that bad boy too.
Ah Don - I was using your FB thread to choose a new set for this weekend. My Ignitors have worn down to slicks after 2 years use. Ive gone with Continental Baron Black chilli's. I reckon any new tyre is going to feel awesome. Ill give you a full performance report after the weekend!
Don, do you not rate the Rubber Queen's?, I was going to convert to tubeless Rubber Queen's this weekend, ideally for my first spin with Epic tomorrow morning. What would you recommend for a Lapierre Pro Race 200? I will have to use a well used Michelin Dry 2 tomorrow, hope Richie is not going too muddy or traction could be an issue!!!
I didn't get on with the RQ. Traction was not grew in the dry, rubbish in the wet, squirilly at low pressures and while mine was reliable a mate had countless punctures. But hey, some people like them, I think. It's also a big mutha tyre to stick on an XC bike, for your HT I would be looking at Toros, Nobby Nics, Ignitors, Mud X for schlomp, etc. But it's just jabber, ride what you have!
