Fantastic result for Orla McClean yesterday winning the Pro Ladies by over one minute and twenty seconds in the Carrick Enduro! Having watched her disappearing into the distance recently up on 3-Rock I'm not a bit surprised! Shona, Max, Steve P, Don and of course Smithers were also well up there! Well done all!
Great result Orla, you were very quick down the top of stage 5 , a lot of people screwed it up and faltered on it but you went through it really slick. Theres very fierce competition in the Pro ladies and with 80 riders in most of the other categorys , savage competition all round. It would have been great to see some more club support down there yesterday too folks. Nothing boosts you in a race like hearing your name being shouted!! fair play to Dave K and Dave Mac as well, Damo was on fire till he punctured at the top of stage 5 too.
Yeah nice one Orla, you deserved the win and even if Silvia hadn't had the mechanical you'd still would've been in for a win.
I was pleased with my 3rd, but learned a lot of lessons yesterday and hoping to keep improving as the season continues.

Well done to everybody else too. Great times by some of the lads in very competitive fields. Max came 2nd on one of his stages.
