I think I heard there were still trees down on the metros in ticknock. Does anyone know the state of them currently? Bringing my nephew for a spin today and don't want to have to scale a load of fallen trees.

Big tree down on upper metro so you will have to "hike a bike " for a bit. Lower metro is clear and new euro services trail is in a total mess, worth avoiding altogether !
I'm sure they'll be cleared in time for next Sunday....... 
The new trail is clear apart from 2 sections, looked at it today.
One has a shortcut cleared and you'll just have to slow down a little to get through the other bit.
