hi all. was planning a trip to wales sometime soon. went to glyncorryg/afan last year and thought it was great. thinking of cwm carn this time round. has anyone here ridden there? i know it has a dh track but what are the trails like? any help appreciated. mick.

went to glentress in september.... it was brilliant! i live only 30mins from rosslare so the wales trip is really handy for me. think there might be a freeride park in cwm carn but not sure. just wondering has anyone been there.
I was in cwncarn twice last year and liked it, only rode the downhill stuff though.
the freeride park is half way up the mountain but according to the uplift driver It's nothing special, just a few drops, tabletops and a wallride.
The downhill stuffs good but a bit too hard packed for my liking.
the cross country loop looked savage though, it goes all over the place and looks really fun and flowy with some cool features. don't hold me to that though, I didn't actually ride it.
If your into big jumps you'll love the end bit of the downhill track, theres some really good booter tabletops there.
It's about a two hour drive from the ferry on mainly motorway so it's not too bad. And If your going over for the weekend there's loads of good stuff around the area, well there is for dh so I'd presume it's the same for xc.
