Great spin today guys. I left before the end because i was frozen solid after the punctures. Pity we lost darren along the way. Fair play to the ither caroline, she is motoring along! When i git back to the car it was kinda warm and bug blue sky which is weird considering the artic conditions we were cycling in!
Shame u left Caroline was great seeing you , but yes those punctures could not have come at a worse or colder time! My fave bit was the downhill post artic conditions. But I'm not a fan of punctures , cold & those 3 dilly dallying walkers ha. Thanks great spin & beautiful route the Terry legend! Terry's Boot Camp was another hit. I was frickin wrecked when I got home. Had to go for a snooze.
That was a great route, shame about the punctures but it goes with the territory. That was fun huddling in the trenches trying to keep warm. I offered cuddles to those in need of warming up but I think I came across like a dirty old man so got no takers.
Next time I'll bring a portable stove so we can heat up a tin of beans.
Unfortunately for the rest of you fit individuals I've no intention of giving up. My morals got the best of me, after 3 falls in about 10 minutes. Even with frantic cycling to keep up with the rest of you I was still freezing. You lot, waiting patiently and freezing your bits off was just too much to bare.
After I made my excuses I had a nice leisurely cycle in the blizzard. Thank God for gps. I'll keep training on hills to work on the fitness and maybe invest in one of those German bikes with a motor
