St Annes Saturday & Sundy 14th /15th

Hey all,

I'll be out in St Anne's this weekend cleaning up the pump track and finishing some sections. If you want to come out and give me a hand I’d much appreciate it, even if it’s just for an hour or two.

On another note There was a meeting today at the trails in St Anne's park with Dublin city council and the park authorities, i wont go into the details as the minister is better at such things, but reassuringly I’m told the meeting went very well and the authorities are very pleased to have the trails built to such a high degree and are pleased to support the efforts.

A big thanks to all who lifted a shovel to help.
I hope to see some of you over the weekend.

By the way I think I figured out what you eat for breakfast, is it squirrels?. Is that you lighting the fires early before we get there and cooking them?

I think Sean eats them too as he is a human mini digger

the meeting today was quite sucessfull.
the park guys are very positive but had a few legitimate concerns, we are going to do everything possible to keep these guys happy.
some points from todays meeting were;
-nothing new is to be built without approval.
-boundaries were set out today that limit the the area that we can build (does not effect existing jumps, pumptrack).
-everything has to built to a very high standard and kept dialled up, the look of the place seems to be a slight concern.

there were a few other things mentioned, i will tell whoever wants to know at the weekend.

if we work with the park guys on this and follow their guidelines hopefully we can build up a good relationship with D.C.C. and who knows, if it is a sucess, this could potentially open door for other similar spots around the country...

all in all WAHOOO!!!!!!

you might want the guy shot who painted the trees ..I'll do it for free. Fair play to Steve and all the boys for doing such a fantastic job out there and for negotiating the use of the park the way they have, nice one,
