Yeah, I was in Hibernia CC 30 years ago, then Sorrento cc .Both started by Mick Byrne. Thanks Mickky , now I feel really old!

Did 200 km last year. Hope to do it again.... weather depending!

Just signed up to do the 200km route.

Iomair weren't you thinking of doing this? Id be up for it, think the 100km would be enough

Yeah I'd chance the 100k think 200 may be a bit of a stretch for me... I don't do much on the road bike other than commuting so it'd be a nice change :)

My plan for the 200 is to do it at my pace,could'nt care less who speeds by me.I used the same plan for the infamous 2011 WW200 and it worked out fine.
I'm already prepared mentally for a long day in the saddle,and will bring money and just stop at a shop for food if I feel like,as well as using the supported rest stops.
Oh,and if its raining or as windy as feck Im not evening going to start!!

Signed up for the 100k today, the thoughts of 160/200 had me mentally distraught so I'll stay within my limits. Lookin forward to it now :)

Good man Donough, get signed up as there wasn't too many places left on the shorter routes left when I signed up. Loads on the 200k but not sure do they re distribute these places if they don't fill...

Anyone want a free entry to this? I signed up but heading up to lady Dixon instead. Its for the 100km one

Well that was different for me. Didn't see Micky if he was there as the longer distance gang went off before hand. Really enjoyed it in a weird sort of way. Never did any serious distance on the road bike prior to this so thought I'd try the 100 and see how I went. Glad I did as the thoughts of another 100 on top would quite literally have killed me so fair play to anyone who did 160 or 200. Great organisation, well marked out, nicely spaced food stops and some spread in laragh. I was gonna give up on the spin and stay there eating cake all day but decided to crack on. Did most of it with a lad from Orwell wheelers, nice guy and I was glad of the company. We had good weather for the most part bar the sideways needle like hail stones at the top of the Sally gap. Great event and defo one for the calendar next year. I've a new found respect for roadies after it too 109kms with just over 1500mtrs climbing. Bunched now!
