Sat 25 Sep 2015, Lambe Doyles Pub for 9:00 Intro To Epic Spin

Hi All,

Get on this!

For prospective members and all the Saturday Stunt Doubles - I'm promising a rip-roaring ride of Epic Proportions! Spills, Thrills, and even the odd mechanical for the craic

All welcome - must have functioning bike, great attitude, and be self sufficient!
I'll be there! Chris's Djouce adventure looks very tempting considering the weather we are due but I need to stay local enough tomorrow so see you for some sideways shenanigans...
How's it going lads! New guy here just looking for some info about the spin !

I'm 26, ride a specialized camber 29er and have been out of the saddle for a few months. Needless to say my fitness on the ascent wouldn't be the greatest. I am fairly new to the sport, and have been sticking to ballinastoe long and short trail, as well as a bit of bike park Ireland. That's where I'm coming from and I'm just wondering what sort of trail ticknock would be comparable to?

I am enthusiastic to try new trails, but I don't want to be holding a group up due to my current skill and fitness level.

Also, I have all the required gear spares etc, currently living out in Fairview.

Cheers guys
Hey Paddy. I'm sure Harri will respond in more detail, but you're exactly the right person for this type of spin. It's intended to get guys n girls out on their bikes with a few friendy yet slightly off- centre fellow riders and have a bit of a laugh whilst getting fitter and more skilled without realising you're doing it. Unfortunately my decked up knee has me off the bike but as the resident fat-lad-at-the-back on most epic spins I know they'll look after ya
Yep as Gary said, come along. There wont be anything too taxing so you'll be well able for it. 3Rock/ Ticknock Coilte trails would be very similar to Ballinastoe Coilte trails. This spin is intended for Beginners and improvers and we tend to regroup at the end of each trail section so nobody gets left behind. You wont be expected to do anything risky that you are not comfortable with or don't yet have the confidence for so no pressure at all. Hopefully after a few spins the fitness and confidence will increase and you will be able to enjoy really yourself and get more out of your mountain bike.
9am start is typically ready to go for 9... See you in the morning
I hope to be on this, just need to get a lovely young man to give me his wheel and put it on my bike :)

See you in the morning. Looks like a great day for a spin, hopefully the forecast is right.
