As part of this yearâs EPIC club league we plan on introducing an inter-club and team dimension to the racing. There will be token trophies but this is really about getting people out on a regular basis and, of course, bragging rights.
Inter Club Trophy
The basic idea is that the top three finishers from each of the clubs participating in the league would have their points counted. This would give the total 'club' points for each race. The club with the lowest points at the end of the season will win the âinter-club trophyâ. The trophy would be something small â think egg cup! You don't have to register for this, we'll just compile the score table.
Team Trophy - again, think egg cup!
A team will consist of four people identified before the first race on the club course (two weeks from now). The top three finishers will have their points counted (not everyone on the team has to show up every week). The team with the lowest overall points will win a prize for the best âteamâ at the end of the season. Teams including women will get bonus points. There will also be a âprizeâ for the most improved team. Riders on a team do not necessarily have to be drawn from one club. You can register your team here: http://goo.gl/forms/n12reTN5ra
