Hello All you Saturday skidders!
time to break out the knee pads for some Enduro madness (or what we, in Epic, call - a mountain bike spin, knee pads optional as always!)
Terry has assured me (he hasn't) that the weather shall be stone splitting sun, so bring your sun-cream (and a rain coat) & for those who keep forgetting - some spare tubes! (maybe a chain link or two as well).
Today, my bike is being tuned for greatness in Expert cycles specifically for this spin; it's going to be bonkers, sideways, rubber-side-up craziness.
As Harri said weather to be brilliant sat and for those who where hungry and thirsty last sat extra supplies.........
If either Caroline or Alan or both are cooking any scones put be down for a half dozen with cream and black currant jam please

Woop this sounds so good I'm in! I won't be bringing scones this week though - I've no time to make them and the heater is on the blink from lugging it around the trails recently....I've been trying to heat up precious Alan's scones ! Maybe some caramel slices though seen as Dave is coming...
oohh caramel slices.......damnit - but if Harri is mentioning knee pads......I'd better not risk it - as it is I'll still be covering up bruises to beat the band......so I shall be elsewhere, wishing I was there! Have a blast - sounds like it's going to be a good one!
I was only kidding Tara - it's an Epic thing, all these names come and go for mountain biking, and we'll always do what we've always done - ride every trail we know about! (very philosophical)
anyway - I got my bike back from Expert Cycles - it's going like hot snot of a cold stick (fast) the suspension's been specially tuned for Enduro and Robin and Alfie were up all night in the bike lab making my rebound go up to 11! (yes, 11 no one else in Ireland has rebound that goes to eleven. E L E V E N.) [I asked for eleventeen but apparently 11 is even better)
The bearings have all be changed - in both the wheels and suspension. That means one thing - if you end up in front of me you're going to get rolled over (zoom, bash, bang, wallop)
There's even a new button on the handlebars that's connected to 'time' or some abstract concept - I was told not to press it until tomorrow! Hoo-Raaa Epic-Corp.
