Scenic Trails on the Emerald Islad

Hey,

Heading over to your beautiful Island next weekend to do some biking.

Any recommendations on where to find the most scenic and most fun riding?
I consider myself a strong rider having spent the last 3 years in and around Whistler so challenges as well as nice views are welcome.

Day trip to Wicklow?
Multi-day trip to Rostrevor/Castlewellan or Limerick?

I will probably have to rent a decent bike too since I won't be able to bring my own on this trip.

Hi Martin

Yep Rostrevor and Ballyhora in Limerick would be what your after. Scenic bike rental and they are the best marked trials in the country in my opinion. Bike park Ireland is another option if your looking for Enduro downhill trails and uplifts. This is not too far from Ballyhora so you could do them on consecutive days with an overnight in the Ballyhora hostel great setup for bikers and nice rural Irish town with some fine public houses. Other options close to Dublin are Threerock and Ballinastoe both have rental but the loop is short roughly 15km. Also note that there is a race in Threerock next Sunday and parts or trial center will be closed but on the other side you could enter at www.irishxcnps.ie
