Firstly, huge thanks to the timers and starters tonight (Kieran, Colm and Ronan). There were, I think, fewer out tonight compared to last week but there was as much craic, banter and suffering as ever :-).
Unfortunately, the results are a little messy and will take some time to sort out. This is not the fault of the timers. It is caused by people calling their number on the in lap rather than at the end of their first complete lap. This was an issue last week as well.
The mixing of racers, i.e. those completing their first lap with those that just started, coming up the hill to the timing area (finish line) makes it very difficult for the timers to know who has just started and who is going into their second lap.
There is a simple fix - we move the finish back to its original position but I'll leave this decision to Terry and Alfie and co.
I'll get the results sorted out as soon as I can but it'll probably be the weekend before I get them done. Sorry about that.
Finally, thanks to Ben for trailing the iPad. I didn't get a chance to talk to him yet but it suffered from the same issues as the laptop - recording of numbers at the top of the hill climb.
