MTB expense...

If you are just starting out heres what to expect, and with only 5 years under my belt I am not the worse of them by any means. Here we go -

Bikes
BH OverX MTB – €400
Merlin Malt 2 – €700
Giant NRS 1 – €1100
Giant Trance X1 – €1300

Stuff
Too much to mention but in excess of €2000

So I reckon around €6K easy, which over the 5 years works out at about €23 a spin. I think that's the bargain of the decade. At least the EPIC membership is priceless.

Good job you live in wicklow. It costs me nearly that on fuel and tolls every time I go for a spin

thats the greatest pile of ****e I've ever seen and a symptom of the ****e I have had enough of.
Mountainbiking is not about money or licences or gloves or lights or any of that petty drivel.
its not about poxy DVDs and stupid ****ing terms.
Its about having the craic and enjoying the wilderness and pushing beyond your limits.
I am starting to regret ever starting a club or getting this forum going.
The amount of gob****e driven nonsense being churned out on it is making me very ****in angry.

I kinda think im an Indian when im out on the bike...Kinda like the Western films of day gone by..beatin across the plains on horse back.. chasing down Biason for dinner only its banannaz and power bars at the end of the chase now...

You can't beat a good western, I grew up on them, that and Batman. I found some old, out of date Power bars from 2006 a while back, thing is they actually tasted better now than back then. They are grim yokes.

Yeeeuup they still beat the **** out of the crap out now...
