Unfortunately, Banbridge CC have had to cancel this event due to difficulties with NI Forestry who are charging an exorbitant fee to host a race in this venue.

The Offroad Commission will work on this as a matter of priority and see what we can do to help resolve the situation if at all possible.
Castlewellan is an amazing venue for XC so we'll do our best to see how we can help

i have to disagree Oz..Chainreaction are running their Dh race in Rostrevor with the same issues.
I know I would pay extra for Castlewellan, you paid â¬20 yesterday to run around a forest, just like I did.
The facilities in Castlewellan and the course is worth it in my opinion,

I really don't think it's about the money anymore, after all
just under 30 full price entrys (€20) would cover the forestry fees
I think relations between the some of the clubs and the NI forestry are not as healthy as between forestry and ourselves, and I guess this is where some help is needed
