Watching Shay Elliot race today at top of Drumgoff climb up from Glenmalure to Laragh.Who appears in lead group of climbers our friend Ryan Sherlock and followed close behind Peter Buggle .Total respect to these guys giving one of the hardest one day classics a lash mixing with a field of top irish riders and a few italian visitors one wearing world champ colours.Well done guys check out results where the finally finished.To anyone watching in Laragh and cheering Myself and legend John Doris were not riding race as some people thought.The look on their faces as we pulled into coffee shop off the race route.

I finished in the group that was going for 9th, so about 12-15 I think (I didn't want to get mixed up in a sprint and my positioning was not that great leading into Kilpeddler - it was a downhill sprint round a fecking corner - my only thing against the race). Peter was a group or two back so in the 30-40s I guess - ahead of a lot of big Irish riders.
