EPICmtb New MTB Coaches

5 of us spent the weekend training to be Cycling ireland level 1 Mountainbike Coaches.
myself,Sean Herlihy, Stewart carr , Oscar macAnaney and Alfie Wallace.
We covered everything from nutrition, periodization, motivation and even Bike Setup.
Today we finished off by running 3 different kinds of Training Sessions for Youth Riders.
A big thank you to our Tutors Gary McKeegan and Paul Brady both of whom are well known track and Time Trial Racers. We even brought them out on Saturday for a spin around the Leadmines which they loved.
I really enjoyed the Course and i'm looking forward to going all the way with it. As usual we had great craic over the weekend with the other Coaches which included Legends, Ryan Sherlock and Jenny MaCauley.
Heres a couple of shots from todays Coaching sessions we ran in Ballinastoe

Fair play lads, well done. Really looking forward to reaping the benefits on our future spins. I can only imagine the type of encouragement over the next few weeks.
thanks Shane, in all seriousness, I'm certainly available to Coach members, both individually or in small groups.
As a certified Coach, not in my usual crazy person persona. You won't recognize me but I'm taking this extremely seriously. i think the possible benefits to the members are huge,
Let me know by PM or email, or in the flesh if anybodys interested,
Richie
Well done Lads.

LOL Mr Damage! Well done guys, I think it is great that this is being done and only adds credibility to the sport at grass roots level. Knowing that kids are being taught the basics by those who are most passionate about the sport is a welcome move.
