What's a good power drink? I only ever had High 5 many years ago, not sure it did anything for me. Anything better than anything else or would a bottle of juice do the same thing?
Rehydration drink?
I use Maximuscle viper. It has a good reputation.
I like the sound of that, Viper, Maximuscle Viper. With a name like that how could you not perform better? High 5 sounds like something the Brady bunch would drink.
If your talking about a drink to give you a boost mid race then a can of coke - seriously, easier to get into you when its flat, gives a good sugar rush and a bit of caffeine,

Zym do a gret electrolyte drink thats very easy to use no measuring out scoops of powder for making up bottles. Just drop in a disolving tablet and away you go. It tastes good and stops you feeling tired and wards away cramp. Also great for a hangover.
I used this during the marathon champs - definitely helped

Agree with Al there..
I use Nuun tablets and those ZYM one's
The Nuun's are very easy to drink, just electrolytes (think they do one with caffine)
The ZYM's have electrolytes and caffine, they're great, on the road bike I bring one bottle with a ZYM in it and one with water, couple that with Shot blocks (electrolyte jellies), Sport Beans, lumps of Maltana with jam on it and you're good to go.
Also good to have a packet of those powerbar go-go jellies, they're nicer if you leave them open in your camelbak for 3 weeks.
Also, if you get headaches in the evening after long spins Nuun's are great, a pint of water with one of those works well.

Trying out High 5 at the moment. Not sure about it yet.
Viper is great. No doubt about it.

I think high 5 is more of an energy drink... (could be wrong)
I found it ok but very hard on the stomach after a while.
Find it's better to get your fuel from food and your hydration from drinks.

I find Powerthirst hits the spot. Although it leaves me too energetic for normal sports.

For rehydrating after a spin (or a savage booze session) i find Dioralyte very good. Cheap and available at any chemist.
They might look at you funny when you buy a whole load of them, so for extra comedic effect be sure to walk like john wayne
