Now that its summer and the insects are biting I've just ordered a few bats on batsRus.com, apparently they they eat midges, mosquitoes and other biting insects in huge numbers. The smallest bat, the Pipistrelles, which will fit on the end of your thumb, can easily consume 3,000 insects in one day. I reckon a few of these bad boys tethered to my helmet will make each ride a joy.

Pete, I only employ local bats for my anti midge system, the pipistrelle bat is the most abundant bat in Ireland, and the Newtown pipistrelle is the meanest of the lot, I'm all for keeping jobs here!

Running away has been great... Trees don't feel the recession and Sasquatch is an amazing mixed doubles partner, unfortunately he seems to attract bugs and not eat them.

what are you on about bats for, lets face it its impracticle. you may as well just wear one of those beekeeper outfits while cycling:):):)
