Irish Masters at The Euro DH Champs

Maeve Baxter won Gold in her category and Michael Cowan got Silver in his..
I'm stunned that nobody has made a big deal about this.
I guess theres a lot more to be said about the ****in Wicklow 200 or what tyres going with what grips !!

Well done Guys, Some great results there, Does she get to wear a rainbow Jersey now.

Yeah well done to all of the masters that went over. Maeve was flying in her run and was tipped to win it from the start, and Michael was fying as always.
The rainbow jersey's only for the world's, it's a blue one with stars on it for the Europeans.

ah yeah..as i thought...if this was a thread about the Dumbass Wicklow 200 " Day of a million goobers" Gooberfest..we'd never hear the end of it..
or some hyped up video about some Canadian gobsheen faffing about on an oversized decking it would be all the yakety yak!!

Your Dead right Richie, They are class results... well done Maeve and Michale and our own Greg and Sean for flying the Flag so well for us. It all to easy to be blasé about how much time effort and money goes into entering and getting to an event like this, not to mention the skill level needed to do well at an international level.

Almost a week on & still not one message of congratulations for Maeve over on the Irish DH site...

She WON the GOLD... she is the European Champion..!!

Well there is a report on the Irishdh homepage from the masters race and a seperate thread for Michael and Maeve but not nearly enough recognition for what they've achieved!

Absolutely... Michael is very fast and super consistent rider who pulls out all the stops at a race, and he's getting faster look at the times he posted in Rostrevor, only a handful of seconds off colin ross in 1st place elites, he’s a tough man to keep up with on track .. he'll do very well in the up coming Worlds masters..
