Right as everyone knows this weekend is nationals weekend. The Dh nationals are in Carrick near Glenealy in Wicklow so no excuses it's only down the road. The track itself will be fast and fun so everyone should come down and have a go or if you're not racing just drop down and cheers on all the epic heads that are, it's amazing what a good shout can do as your flying down the track. As usually practice Saturday/Sunday morning and racing Sunday afternoon. Hope to see a good bunch of you down this weekend.

Well you really should have gotten confused, e-mailed it seven times, got your mother to ring me to tell me it wont save for some, gone on the Irish DH Forum and posted every ten minutes to let everyone know that you werenât on the list.
Seriously though the track will be great, the crack will be mighty, the whole thing is rideable by every one, all the hard bits have very fast chicken runs, no one will be out of their dept, you could ride all but one or two of the jumps on an all mountain bike, you just need a full face helmet. And it will be great for spectators, you will get to see how fast people really are.
Don't know why but for some reason im going to have a go at the sports cat, no point selling a bike if i have never raced it.
Would I be better off on a six inch bike that i know and get on with or a dh bike that I dont know understand or trust.
You would think the six inch is the obvious answer but I do seem to get away with much more on the bigger bike. Is it just perception do i just seem slower on the big bike?
I will not be jumping anything bigger than a 50p piece. This should be some craic but I've seen the track and I'm bricking it!
well...its like this..i haven't seen the track or ridden my new bike yet and I don't care..i'm only out for the craic..just ride the big bike and let it rip..you can ride a 6" bike anywhere, you only really get the use of DH bike properly at races anyways !! just point and shoot...do it..do it do it !!!!
That's typical of Sham - the only time he rides his bike is when somebody carries it up the hill for him in a tractor!! Very best of luck to everybody!
