Now bear in mind this is direct fallout from a certain discussion in a certain drinking establishment after a certain race.
It has long been known that hillrunners, when photographed in action, traditionally bear the facial expression of someone who has eaten vindaloo but forgotten they had piles and is now paying a terrible price the following morning. Understandable you might say, it's a tough sport, only for the hardy, the silly etc... sure it's hard work running up mountains and no wonder folk look a bit the worse for wear.
But lately, top researchers have discovered that it is possible for a hillrunner to transcend the pain barrier by disabling most brain functions; unfortunately said hillrunner may then be left with the facial expression and general demeanour of a village idiot. Effects may be irreversible, we're not sure.
In honour of this new discovery, the IMRA website is delighted to introduce a brand new game: "Spot the Retard".
