There is a lovely huge, empty high rise in Sandyford, just concrete floors and stairs, no walls. Imagine building a bike course inside the building running from the top floor to the bottom, you could build whatever you want on each floor and then bate down the stairs to the next floor, and with no walls you would have unrivaled views. If we build it they may come, it would be unique in the world, we'd be famous and rich, rich I tells ya!

I reckon EPIC could buy it now and turn it into a club house..

I remember cycling from Cabinteely to that place in the 60's to see Cassius Clay ( Mohammed Ali) with my old man , He was staying there for some reason, ..or maybe it was by horse...****..i'm having a Senior moment with this one..it may have been on a motorbike !!

feckin ancient i am..its just the clean living and the fresh air that keeps me looking young! It was actually 1972 !! he was staying up there at the time..and we cycled up..I was 10 and my brother was 6..and my old man cycled from Cabinteely with him on the crossbar and me pedalling along behind on some raleigh yoke apparently..I was asking my Mother earlier did I imagine it and she said no..she said there was only ever one other person madder than me and that was the original D ick Byrne!!
