Blast - Flats or SPD's

Now no foolishness, this is deadly serious. Blast 1 was flats, 2 and 3 were SPD's, now I'm going back to flats for the big one. I'm convinced it's the right choice, are you with me!!!! Arggagahagahahagahah!!!!!

Spuds any day, if your used to them they can be used like flats with all the advantages of the clips!

i love flats but I would go spds if i was racing the blast for sure. defo defo defo. phew started acting the maggot there but thankfully found the delete key.

Come to think of it I haven't ridden in flats for 5 years, could be dodgy, I presume its like riding a bike, with flats.

Your right there big gav i have been slacking lately when it comes to crashing although sadly mine have never been captured in such deadlinessss, il have to go practice :)

Don don't be kcufing ridiculous. I tried flats for the two race runs at Cullo. Sold the Five Tens within two hours. SPDs 'til I die now!

But, but....I seem to remember my shoes were caked in mud at the last Blast, couldn't clip in or out, spent most of the time running through schlomp like a sasquatch, it was a pitiful sight. But with the new mud free Blast who knows????

Quite pricey though i think its 60 for the lowest spec pedals alone

dimwhits. Anyways, spd on the outside leg only. that way you can hang out while drifting "Hill style"

let me relay a bit of Jedi wisdom on you goobers..I have those shimano dx pedals with the resin cage..but I wear cheap shimano laced up spd shoes when on the old Freeride bike,( i have different shoes and pedals on the xc bike) and while they're not 5.10s and spiky pedals..they work pretty good for those sneaky half clipped out moments..
