mtb trails

hi folks, can anyone tell me where i would find a good trail in south kildare ,, near athy kilcullen direction or that area in general,, i am new to the sport.

There is very little around those areas, infact probably none, i travel up to wicklow twice a week from carlow for good trails, it would be a handy enough run in the car from kilkullen.

there is a 9km trail in donadea clane can show you it.
its flat but lots of fun bits

The Curragh Mountains are great, I heard at one end there is a 200mm drop off & a twig obstacle...

where in wicklow do you go to these trails,, and where abouts are they,, i heard some people use the windy gap in stradbally ,, its more of a nature walk but some good fast tracks in it also.

There is a 9k trail in Stradbally woods that a few of us use, Tuesday & Thursday nights
we are trying to get something started in the area, as there are no other trails or clubs that we have come a cross in the midlands.

Kildare Trails

There are Trails in Rathcoole, Slade Valley, there was a race there recently so earlier loops must have been rebuilt - was there earlier in the year and it was cut to bits. Donadea is also worth a visit, get a taste of the excellent trails which Brian has built. Otherwise there is no real scene, county is too flat, but plenty of potential without with Wicklow\Sally gap and Glendo not so far away.

could always head down Mt Leinster direction, we're out most Sunday mornings. Probably the same distance as the wicklow trails.
