Reading about Nats 7 hours for 4 stitches farce got me thinking, if you do stuff yourself and are able to get to a medical centre of choice where is the best place to get sorted quickly?
What's the deal with that clinic in Dundrum (Vhi?) or the fancy Beacon clinic. I'm covered by Quinn, or Bupa, or whatever they call themselves this week. And of the other hospitals which is the better, I believe if you go into Loughlinstown for concussion you may come out with Leprosy, or minus a few limbs.
you're right - if you have VHI you can use thier 'swiftcare' centres - they're great - no long waits, you'll get stitched up straight away, but in more ways that one, although they'll see you- you're only partially covered so the bill might be insane - but you'll save that on the quick turn around - been to 2 different ones - great service. (So, they'll pay the Doc's fee but not the stitching & the injections - so it's 400 of which you'll have to pay 200 or the like - example only = not fact)
I think the Beacon will see anyone once you have the money to back the ouch. Again, this is the way its going money = service. Pity.

I've taken out me own stitches and relocated my shoulder and one of my fingers..I would like to see if I could stitch myself up, considering I pierced my own ears once, yeah I'd like to see if I was man enough to stitch myself up..

I went to Loughlinstown once with Nivek when I split myself in Glendo and legged it when I saw the queue and went to St Michaels in Dun laoghaire, chancing my arm as you do and they looked after me..I was covered in blood , that may have helped, but that was a long time ago..

Beacon €120 and off you go, or if you have the Combined Insurance of Goobers you get €196 for every day your in hospital so go and have a crash make sure its on saturday night about 3am and go to James's or Tallaght you'll be there for days!!!!!

You don't need to be a member of the vhi to get treatment in the vhi clinic in balally. Dragged Cathal in there when he split his knee open a few years ago and he was in and out in half an hour. think it's â¬115 to get looked at but you'll be charged â¬100 in a normal a+e anyway.
