I liked the route, I've always thought that West Dublin is an untapped mtb playground. Fair play to IMBRC for opening it up last year with the marathon champs..great venue !
i was amazed by the amount of single track going up the middle of the n69 or whatever it was called at the start , fair play to Luke and Robin and Gordon Lucas especially after Gordon suggested we put an Epic Jersey on Eithnes dog !
anyway, I had the craic with the pythons and the photos..watching Smithers crash 8 or 9 times..
i wasn't happy with the cold temperatures sitting around, i really feel the organisers could have done something better with that.
Your man from Kippure house was the craic, doesn't say who he is and then thinks we're some sort of Centra !!
there was some deadly singletrack built near the end too..and going down the track near Butter Mtn and the other one near the church was a stroke of genius..
I saw loads of people cheating, James Mccluskey babbling about going the wrong way and Conor Cambell tailgating a Van !!
The craic in The EPIC Zone as always was deadly, but would somebody buy poor old team Worc a PA or give Robin a megaphone..
I haven't seen The Captain that tired looking since the great Nun Orgy of '79 and the big " i'll fukkin kill yez all head " on Alfie at the end..
I waited for the flute Lynchey for ages until Kelvin came along and told me he'd snapped a tyre lever and miscounted his tyre knobbles and was going home for a nice lambrusco and a fillet of Mignon ( whatever kind of fish that is)..
hole on a minute, I never got the name of that lad who was 7 foot tall, with one kneepad, football shorts, on a single speed Jumpbike with the saddle pointing skywards..
he managed the 18k race on it..
and Dave mc trying to fix a broken chain by running it from middle ring to Disc rotor !!
and fair play to all the lads i passed and smiled and had the craic with me..I hope all that singletrack tarmac didn't put them off..or a madman taking pictures of them as he went by..
