Wanted - building advice

Seems that building/DIY is the theme of the day so here goes.



I want to build a door canopy like this pic, albeit somewhat wider as the door is glazed on the sides. I suspect the timber frame element is straight forward enough, and I would get someone to tile it (the lead will require chasing into the house).

I'm not sure how to attach it to the house, I assume that expanding bolts and the brackets carry all the weight.

Has anyone done anything like this, or is a handy builder that want to earn a few bob helping me out?

Don, only saw this post now. Easy enough to make, morgans pict shows the basics of how it is done.
Get some dimensions, and I'll give you a hand making it here, then in the van, and bang it up....
I even have a few hundred black slates, if you want them to tile it....
