Hello All,
Last Saturday we held an introductory track training session on the Track in Sundrive Road in Dublin. For those that donât know what this it, its an outdoor velodrome. The thinking is that the type of training that the guys do on the track transfers well over to downhilling. Last Saturday eight of us, from Elites down to U14âs went out to have a go. Iâll stick a report up later, but I think all agreed that it was good crack and pretty good training.
Our first trip to the track was relatively low key, didnât know what to expect etc. But we are heading back this Saturday morning and we are opening it up to anyone who wants to have a go.
If you are interested or would like some ore info please send me a mail to seanherlihy38@googlemail.com Track bike are fixies with no breaks, no gears etc, you can go really fast on them, so there is s introductory session you have to do before you can ride them. There are minimum and maximum numbers for this introductory session so mail me if you are interested and I will send you on details. If you are one of the ones who did it already, then you know the score and you can just turn up.
Sean
(If numbers are at the upper end I'm giving first preference to young lads, no offence or nothin, but most of ye are too old to learn new tricks.)
