Christ I'll get crucified for this one but here goes.
I have a new Gilet, thing is it L when maybe I should be a M. It is not super baggy but not as snug as I am used to, do these things really need to be skintight to keep you warm, or is a bit of room inside a good thing?
Air is an excellent insulator... that's why fibre glass is used for insulation.. it traps pockets of air...
A large gillet with a few base layers underneath is perfect for winter riding... that's how I roll in anyways...!!
Your better off having several light layers that trap air in between rather than one or two big layers.. like a jacket or the likes...
Skin tight is great for compression tops and base layers... they are supposed to be worn next to the skin.. skin tight is not at all essential for rain jackets, gillets or other outer garments..
If any one ever turns up looking like that I dont think there would be much cycling done!!!! Drool,Slurp nervous giggle wham into the nearest bush and show her how we whammy......Epic style!!! niiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeegggggggghhhhhhhh skweel like a pig!!!
