Big bunch of MTBriders are heading south in the morning for Ballinastoe, but I was reading on the Bionicon demo day thread that the trails are covered in ice still.
Anyone got a real world trail conditions update before we all head down?
looks to be so as friend just back from djouce and he said it was very icy on the exposed sections but in the forest was ok,ballinastoe is fairly exposed so good chance of it being icy!

I did full circuit of ballinastoe today
all roads most single tracks completely iced but the the whole thing is still rideable with great care
its a bit of an adventure!

It's quite dodgy but great craic. If you can, leave it till the afternoon. I went round it twice and the first spin in the morning was very sketchy but by the afternoon a lot of the ice had turned to slush so you had a bit of grip. Knee pads and flats would be a good idea.
