Just in case anyone was wondering, outside Ack is fully rideable apart from 1 or 2 little slippy bits, so you can get to the top of the best descent without falling up the red road... like

roads : fine
exposed bits : 3 - 4 inches of snow
Under the trees : very very feckin wet with extra cold water and smud

Everything up to the bottom of the hill to the carpark is fine, there was a good few cars up in the carpark today so people seem to be getting up the hill, give it a lash, there's to be more snow tomorrow night and on Tuesday so get up while you can.
Djouce itself was very snowy yesterday but today it's more wet than anything, yesterday the top of the red road had about 5-6 inches increasing the closer you got to Djouce mtn, we rode from Paddock pond up the outside of the forest (the Ballinastoe side) on Saturday morning and could only ride about 3/4 of it, had to push to the top where there was a good 10 inches, totally unridable, we didn't go any higher, cut across to the red road and down the best descent which was all fine.
