Dealextreme vat...

Hi guys,I ordered some dealextreme lights and I was all excited when I got some news about arrival,but instead,it was a letter from revenue that said that I have to pay the vat and some taxes related,so they need a paypal invoice in order to calculate the amount and plus 6 euros for PP.I wander is some new buget tool to get more revenue or always was.:confused:

I think you just got unlucky. I've been snared about 50% of the time when I order stuff from outside the eu. I just got some lights from dx that arrived on Wednesday and didn't have to pay anything, I reckon you were just one of the packages randomly checked.

Its always been that way, getting caught often comes down to the way its shipped.

I've had 15-20 deliveries from DX, never once caught. I always use the "free postage". You might be more likely to get caught if you use the courier express delivery option.

No courier express or any other option,normal post..I think all costs including vat will be around 90 euros..
