brakes problem

Hi,I have a 203mm front rotor and marzocchi 66's which are post mount. I have no front brake though.

I know CRC is cheap etc....but.....this post demonstrates why it's important to support you local bikeshop

More specifically, your local reliable bike shop. My nearest "bike shop" is Halfords. TBA. To be avoided. Also a couple of other local shops that are OK if you want some brake blocks for the commuter bike, or innertubes or cables, but to be avoided for anything more technical - in particular good advice.

Bike shops in Dublin are I trust (personal opinion only and in no specific order):

Cycle Superstore
Cycle Inn
Hollingsworth
Wheelworx
OC Tuning (not a bike shop as such, but excellent at what they do)

CRC, Bikedock etc grand when you know exactly what you want.

Man what ever you do stay away from there, i wanted a BB put in and they wanted 70quid, screw that went to Cycle Superstore cause Cyclelogical was booked out for a while and Cycle superstore done it for 30, which i find is far better then 70 ha ha and i also got the bike back in two days. My best shop would be Cycle Superstore and its a pain in the arse for me to get there but its worth it.

Firstly, was the bottom bracket the same one in each shop? or just what they had in stock. compare like for like.
Secondly, hollingsworth are the club sponsor, but how would you know that? you've only been here 2 minutes.

Yeah but I put Cyclelogical in the full list, as Alan C has always looked after me well, Cliff too. Pity about the long haired tosspot in there that tried to tell me I needed the wrong size bottom bracket and wouldn't even look at the bike in front of him to see the glaring error... muppet.

Whatever your local decent bike shop it is worth building up a relationship with them, you will get looked after. If this isn't happening, go elsewhere. Or shout at them, it works for some people when they want a sponsored bike. ;D
