I am particularly interested in seeing ladies on these XC spins. Theres a serious lack of lady XC racers !! theres also a serious lack of lady DH racers..and if you want to be a really good lady ( or even gentleman) DH racer you need to be getting the XC spins in.
EPIC XC spins aren't your typical boring XC spin..we tend to go for the more exciting descents.
but nobody has to do anything they don't want to.
you don't even have to wear lycra...as long as its not jeans or cotton tracksuits !!
Richie
Is this spin open to none club members? Not sure if I'd class myself as a beginner but I'm definitely new to club riding. Been doing Ballinastoe with a few lads but I'd love to see some new trails.
Hi Dempster, this spin is not for beginners, its for people interested in racing XC this year, it is open to non club members but nobody rides for free as the song goes...theres no pressure to join EPIC but I would recommend all mtbers join one of the clubs or at least attend our open events !! the more Club members we have the more influence we have in dealing with landowners and the like !!!
Richie
XC is Cross Counry..I am running these spins to get people ready for the Developmental race series and the XC NPS.
I would like to involve more junior members ,Peter, we are in short supply of Junior and youth XC racers.
I would wait until gary lets me know that you are able for the Saturday XC spins.
They are fairly serious. I push people very hard and you have to be self sufficient on my spins.
I would recommend that you join EPIC and do the Club league in the Summer, guarenteed to turn you in to a beast of a rider
Richie
Thanks for the reply Byrner, a few of the lads that did the Epic Blast last year said ye were the club to talk to so here I am I guess. I'm a touch competitive so I'm sure I could be convinced to race at some level at least. If I should do an open day first just let me know. Cheers
