Leinster League Rd1 - Update

@racing795,can you post up good directions from Bunclody village to the start of the course.Us Dubs get lost south of Arklow!!!!Thanks,Micky

Directions for Dubs

OK Micky, first things first, forget Arklow, the M11, and all those Courtown/Curracloe/Rosslare holidays you had as a kid. Bunclody is just over an hour from the Red Cow via the M7/M9 motorway

Starting at the Red Cow follow the M7/M9 out of Dublin. When the M7 and M9 diverge be sure to keep left and take the M9 signposted Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny. Next take Junction 5 off the M9 signposted Carlow South/Rosslare/Enniscorthy. Keep left at the slipway roundabout. You are now on the N80.

Drive for 15-20 mins, passing through the village of Ballon. Driving down the hill into Bunclody take the right turn towards Mt Leinster opposite Supervalu.
Race location is 5 km out this road at the first Coillte forest entrance.

Obviously course is not marked out yet but let us know if you are coming and someone will show you round.

now if you are in EPIC you need to go to this baby.... the development of the sport in this Country needs you. Its a huge undertaking that a new club like racing795 is taking on, I don't care if you are a DHer a serious XCer or a Sunday spinner, go and support this race and have the craic with your CLub.

I'll be there to cheer everyone on and help out if needed, it's just up the road from me. Good luck to David and 795Racing with this, it's a great course they have built.

I hear they have an MTB Golden God Commentating at the event !! The Richie Vs Fergal Showdown will have to wait !!!!!

how many MTB Golden gods do you know ?

I was down last summer for the grand tour, the trails the lads have down there are top knotch, can't wait for the race, should be good crack.
