Marathon Champs today

A big well done to the organisers, The IMBRC, great event, great racing, the course was great considering the weeks of constant rain. Seehan was either madness or genius, but it made it a " Mountainbike marathon"..
Fair play to james, Gar, Dave and Luke for all the effort they put in.
And congratulations to all the Champs, well earned and you can safely say you deserved it,
I had a great time as usual and the best bit for me was when all the elites arrived at the first fence and were all in a state wondering how to handle it..you could see by their faces ..
" a fence, what do I do ..where do i go ?" " mammy "..
and as far a certain Top rider ..
" wheel..wheel...wheelwheelwheelwheel !!!!.." still fair play to all the riders, classic stuff..
Oscar had a fantastic race 14th overal and 5th master I think..and Honorary EPICureans, John Doris got 2nd Vet and Oisin Boydell won the Experts..
a certain Hillbilly was second place in Experts and wouldn't believe me..then decided to pull out because he sprained his sideburns..

Feed zones and marshaling was spot on. Course was excellently marked out, at no time did you have to think where you were going.

Ya well done to the IMBRC lads, they put on a great event yesterday. Well marshalled, clearly marked, plenty of feed zones, sunshine for most of the day and a bit of swiss roll for afterwards, sure what more could you ask for.,.,
